Day #3 - A Bear Under The Stand  Chef Klaus (Mike Ditchler) and I returned to the same stand this afternoon, we were earlier today and were ready for action before 4:30. At 6:20 I signaled Mike that I had seen a bear sneaking up behind us. The bear worked its way through the dense ground vegetation until it was 10 yards to our left. I took two pictures -- you can see Mike's head on the right side of both of these pics. It turned in our direction and stopped a few yards from us (pic 3). Then it moved in front of Mike's treestand (pic 4) and stopped on the trail we came in on. It followed our trail right to the North Starr Treestands ladder stand we used to climb the tree. And stopped and checked out the ladder. Then it walked away behind us.
