2003
Deer Hunt - Equipment Evaluation
Grim
Reaper Broadheads

I received a generous supply of Grim Reaper broadheads
a few days before the 2003 deer season. I took three and shot ithem several
times at my broaddhead target. My sights were just right for it and no
adjustment was required. They flew perfectly.
During
the 2003 deer season I killed two does, two wild boars and a wild turkey
with 100 grain Grim Reapers.. The wild turkey staggered from the hit, took
a few steps as though nothing had happened, and dropped like a rock.
The does and wild hogs all expired within 60 yards.
In these four instances I felt my hit was a good one and just walked in
the direction they ran. And every one was a quick and easy recovery.
The wounds were all big cuts on both the broadhead's
entrance and exit.
The broadhead has a collar behind the ferral.
The collar has 3 slits and the blades of the broadhead slide into the slots.
When you screw the Grim Reaper on be sure these line up properly. The Instructions
cover this. An additional collar is included and if it is used the broadhead
weighs 125 grains.
Summary: The Grim Reaper shoots good
and put large wounds on 5 animals for me. I liked the broadhead and am
still using it after the deer season to hunt wild hogs.
