4-Arrows Outfitters
Wayne and Jarred Peeples of 4 Arrows Outfitters are experienced bowhunters and outfitters. They understand the needs of bowhunters: proper stand setup, comfortable shooting distances, and game to hunt. With up to 75,000 acres of privately owned land to bowhunt, 4-Arrows Outfitters is the largest archery outfitting operation in the world. Wayne Peeples, the owner of 4 Arrows Outfitters credits two factors for their success: #1 - careful trophy management of the herd, and #2 - the King Ranch.
One of the many Trophy Whitetail bucks harvested at 4 Arrows Outfitters on the King Ranch. The King Ranch is huge, it occupies 825,000 acres of prime South Texas Whitetail country. King Ranch's deer management program includes the rotation of the areas where deer can be harvested. This allows the Ranch's deer herd to mature. 4-Arrows offers trophy hunts for Whitetail bucks as well as bowhunts for Rio Grande Wild Turkey, Wild Hogs, Nilgai Antelope and Javelina. For further information on 4 Arrows hunts call 830-833-1961or see their web site at at www.4ArrowsOutfitters.com. I asked Wayne Peeples several questions about his Whitetail hunts. He answered:
Summary,
By Zan Christensen:
"This trip greatly exceeded everyone's expectations. We had no idea about the vast numbers of magnificent bucks we would see each day, hundreds is simply not an exaggeration. It's hard to imagine that there are so many P&Y animals on one place." "Twice I got into wild pigs and had multiple daily opportunities to stalk & shoot javelina. I've got to say that the Nilgai (by the way, it's pronounced neal-guy) is truly a most wary animal. It doesn't wait around when it identifies a human. The moment one pegs you, it's gone at break neck speed, and doesn't stop running. They are the hardest game animal I've ever tried stalking, yet was able to get within 30 yards of several my last day. Although our group did not get a Nilgai there were other Nilgai hunters in camp and 11 were taken during our stay. Dr. Dave, Crabby & I hunted them the hardest during our trip, and it was common for each of us to see dozens of different animals each day. It took us a couple of days to find productive Nilgai areas and then figure out how to hunt them and get within bow range. I'm confident that had we spent one more full day hunting we would have one or more hanging on the game pole." "Our hosts, Wayne & Jarred Peeples deserve tremendous credit for creating a bowhunters utopia. The experiences we enjoyed were no accident. Immeasurable work went into their operation, game management program and comfortable accommodations. All of us at Deerhunting.Net would like to tell them, 'Thank You'!" "We have a saying here in Texas that means Outstanding, Awesome, Fantastic & Unbelievable. That saying best describes our hunt with 4-Arrows Outfitters, and that is, "It'll knock your hat in the creek!" Call them, you'll be glad you did." - Zano 4 Arrows is on the web at www.4ArrowsOutfitters.com | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5 |
