What's A Nilgai?
4 Arrows Outfitters

What's A Nilgai?
The Nilgai is native to the country of India and were first released on the Norias Division of the King Ranch in the late 1930’s. A mature bull weighs in at 500 plus pounds and a cow averages around 300 pounds.

The bulls are nicknamed “Blue Bulls” due to the color of their dark indigo winter coat, and the cows are sandy brown in color. Only the bulls have horns and a trophy will measure nine plus inches in length. These free roaming animals are extremely elusive, wary, tough and are known to be very aggressive during the rut, sometimes killing another bull during a fight over a cow. We will be hunting them during the peak of the rut which occurs during the month of January.
