Doug
Besherse Reports In:
Doug's Interviews from the floor of
the ATA Show.
The MAGNUS STINGER
broadhead line has a new bee in the nest.
It's called a BuzzCut. It
is a 100 grain, 4 blade head with the main blades being serrated. The serrated
edges provide more cutting surface which equals larger blood trails. Like
the other Stingers it is spin tested at the factory for alignment and has
the Magnus Diamond Tip. It and all the Stingers have a stronger ferrule
this year. Early indications at the show point to it being a very hot item
this year, Bambi beware!
NEET has been
around since 1956. During that time they have developed a strong product
line representing quality, function and style.
This year they have added
the Chippewa pattern to their product line. It is a very attractive pattern
using the earth tone fabric over brown leather or cordura. They also added
the 801 Ballistic Bow case which is a single bow version of the very popular
800 Double Bow case they introduced last year.
The Rocky Mountain
Snyper XP3 is a new expandable head from Barrie Archery.
It is a 3 blade 100 grain
head . It uses the fool proof, patented cam action, rear sliding/opening
blades that eliminate kick out during angle shots. It uses the Stainless
Steel Devastator, cut on contact tip with a concave design and sharpened
chiseled cutting edges. It is 5/8” closed and 1 1/8” open.
MORRELL'S new
YELLOW JACKET bag target is an excellent addition to a time tested and
proven line of archery targets.
It has an internal frame
system which gives it consistent depth for ultimate stopping power. It
is weather proof, has an E-Z Tote handle and has Morrell’s patented floating
center design. It is 24” x 24” x 10” and weighs approx. 20 pounds.
Between booths
we caught outdoor writer Steve Bartylla in one of his rare "out of treestand"
moments.
Steve is a regular contributor
to Bowhunting.net and all of the major bowhunting and deerhunting magazines.
We discussed Steve's Deer Classic seminar schedule
for 2005.
