This is my first ATA Trade Show and I am overwhelmed with all the energy that is here. Last night after arriving from my flight from Rapid City, SD, I was at the hotel and I was hungry after flying and sitting all day. Getting settled and meeting my roommates for the weekend; Eric and Randy from Pimpmybow.com and Brodie Swisher of RealityBowhunting.com. The bow pimps and I were off when I got a call from Collin Cottrell to stop in at the convention center. We were entertained on stage by Rhett Atkins and the Bone Collectors. Then I was lucky enough to find my buddy Nick Mundt and got a picture with all the Bone Collectors only an hour after arriving. Right away I knew this was going to be one exciting three days.
Then Collin, Brodie and I were off to get something to eat, ending the night meeting old friends as well as new with great conversation and anticipation for the start of the show.
With the morning arriving, there was almost an excitement like opening morning of a hunt. With the doors finally open I made my way in, meeting Collin and Robert Hoague. I was able to walk around and help them out in little ways as they interviewed people. As a first timer at the show, I found it awe inspiring to see the expanse of hunting products in one place. This was all and more than I expected. Walking through the show I saw some new and innovative products that I learned about. I will write more about them later. Life here is fast paced and tiring, I know I will be exhausted when the weekend is over. Come back for more updates on www.bowhunting.net.
