The next day I checked my HorseTail hunting location. The bait was gone and the logs were strewn around the area.

A bear had messed with my SpyPoint game camera. Somehow he had bashed it open and the inside camera unit was on the ground. However it operated just fine. I moved it to another tree where I hopped it would not attract as much attention.

I had my laptop with me and I took a look at the SD card from the SpyPoint. Cool, there were 223 pictures on the card. The first really interesting picture was the one below taken at 17:20 (5:20-pm). Notice the bottom right corner, see the two bears.

I zoomed in on the picture and discovered that it was not two bears, it was one. A big one too.

Four minutes later the camera took another picture of a bear.

At 7:05-pm another bear got its picture taken. I is sitting up and looking around.

A nice tall bear.

The Infra Red camera switches to IR in low light and at 8:10 a bear walked right in front of the SpyPoint and we got to see his roman nose.

At 8:10-pm this bear came in and had a dozen pictures taken of himself.

Six minutes later the camera got a lone picture of a large, bloky bear. Check out those burning eyes.

Then at 9:29-pm we had another night time visitor.

After viewing the pictures, remember there were 223 of them, I was definitely going to hunt here. So there was work to do.

It was Double Bull time. And ThermaCELL time as well. While the ThermaCELL held the hord of mosquitoes off I put up the Double Bull Dark Horse where it had some cover and I had a good shot where the bears were. Below is the blind as well as the SpyPoint camera.

We moved on to 14 other areas. Every single bait was walloped. We refreshed them and moved on. I was already anxious to see tomorrow’s SpyPoint pictures.
