It’s November and Bruce Ryan of Ryan Outdoors is once again hosting a writers camp at the Heartland Wildlife Institute farm in south eastern Ohio. In case you are unfamiliar with what a “writers camp” is, it’s a combination of meetings and hunting.

Part of the attendees are from archery or hunting companies. Part are outdoor writers. The company folks come to introduce, demonstrate and talk about their products. The writers come to learn about the companies and their products. Everyone comes to network; to meet and spend quality time with influential people in our industry.

And … everyone comes to deerhunt in the deer woods in southern Ohio.

The manufacturers that are attending this camp are; ATSKO,( Mike Jordan), Grim Reaper Broadheads (Jay Liechty), Heartland Wildlife Institute (Jeff Neal), Nikon (CJ Davis) PRADCO Outdoor Brands (Mike Mattly), Lost Camo, (Keith Jennings). Other manufacturers that have provided product are; Darton Archery, Woods Polaris, ThemaCell, Fall Guy (Integrated Safety Systems) and GameHide.

Outdoor writers are; Bob Humphrey, Joe Byers, Tim Dehn, Robert Hoague, Jim Miller, and media expert, Bruce Ryan.

PRADCO Brands include; Summit Treestands, Knight & Hale Calls, Code Blue Scents, Moultrie cameras and feeders. The hunt is hosted by Fox Hollow Farms & Outfitters.

I’ll post about the week’s events and the hunt. Hang out with us…
