On SpyPoint At The Point

I drove out to the area I call the Point and picked up the SpyPoint game camera I have watching the area where I have a treestand and the Double Bull In The Sky. I opened the SpyPoint up.

SpyPPoint IR-5 trail and game camera.
This is the SpyPPoint IR-5 trail and game camera. It comes with a strap and I fastened it to this tree with it.

Then I removed the SD card and replaced it with a new one.

Replacing the SD card in the SpyPoint game camera.

While still there I inserted the SD card into my laptop and downloaded the pictures. There were over 2,000. That said, the unit has been out since November 29 and this is a high traffic area for the game in our area, which is Whitetail deer, Wild Turkey and Wild Hogs.

I’ve used a bunch of different game cameras over the years and 99% of them would absolutely not be able to take anything close to 2,000 pictures. A few hundred is usually all you get. The battery life in the SpyPoint cameras is amazing, I’ve taken over 3,000 pictures before.

Here are a few of the picture that helped me decide if I should hunt at the Point or not. (After that is a photo gallery with some of the highlights of the pictures.)

Here is a buck from a few days ago.

And another one.

Then I saw something I was hoping to see. The picture was from the end of November.

But there were many more photos of wild turkey coming through the area, almost every day.  The picture below as from a couple of days ago.

Below are thumbnails for a few of the highlights of the pictures.

It doesn’t take much thinking to decide at the Point … right away. Wild Turkey season is over at the end of the month and I’m good to go for hunting for a gobbler.

In fact, I’m gonna get ready and go out to the Point right after I upload this.
