KillZone Body Block Blind - Big Value in a Small Bundle

KillZone Body Block Blind - Big Value in a Small Bundle

By: Tink Jackson

We archery guys have to take every advantage we can get. From camo to scent control and everything in between, we need all the help we can muster to get close enough to make our shots. One of the greatest tools placed on the market to help in recent history is the ground blind. Of course, as with every other useful tool that has come along, there are now many different variations as well. Over the next few reviews, I will be discussing some of the full size ground blinds that we used over the winter on our New Mexico deer hunt. When we think of ground blinds we normally think of full size pop-ups, but we found one over the winter that we know we will be keeping in our gear bag from now on. This little blind is the Body Block from KillZone Hunting and you can’t even imagine how many uses we found for this pocket sized blind.

The technical specs:

• 29” Tall
• 78” Spread Length
• Includes Ground Stakes and Tie Down Ropes
• Includes Carry Pouch with Belt Loop
• 1.2 lbs.
• 10” Diameter x 1” Thick when Packed
• Ultra Light Weight Allows for Quick Setup and Easy Packing

KillZone Body Block Blind - Big Value in a Small Bundle

The KillZone Body Block is an ultra lightweight blind that is ideal when you are out there stalking by yourself. You can put it up and take it down in the blink of an eye, which makes it great for carrying along on those long days of spotting and stalking. It “pops” up into a 29” high by 79” long wall of cover that can be used anywhere you can’t find cover. The profile is low enough that you can shoot over it while kneeling or sitting and it will keep all of that lower body movement concealed while you are situating yourself or drawing your bow.

How many times have you found the perfect spot to try to ambush something only to realize that there was not enough cover available to utilize the location? How many times have you found another spot that did not have an open area big enough for a full ground blind? I know I have had this problem a number of times over the years, and the KillZone Body Block is perfect to fix all of those problems, and small and light enough to always have ready for use in your pack!

Small, compact, easy to carry size

We used the Body Block in a number of situations, and it was awesome. Easy to put up, easy to take down and easy to put back in the bag for quick movement. The Body Block was used in between trees, between rocks, and next to trails. This really is a great piece of gear to have in your bag!

The Body Block we used came in “Zero-Detect” camo. This pattern used by KillZone is an excellent all-around pattern for use at any time of the year. It blends in, is a nice change from the “standard” camo patterns used by most other companies, and can be used in most any situation to blend you into your environment.

Zero-Detect Camo

Overall, we would highly recommend the KillZone Body Block to any and every hunter. The size and weight make it easy to carry daily on your hunts, the Zero-Detect camo blends in to any environment, it can be used in any hunting situation and with every type of hunting method and weapon, and the handy carrying bag keeps it organized in your gear. It is well made, durable and we did not experience any fading problems over the winter.

Oh yeah, the Body Block only costs around $20! Yes, I could not believe that part either! We call that icing on the cake!
