Nothing was moving the first half hour of daylight. Then I noticed a buck standing motionless , half hidden by a tree.
A doe came into view from behind him and he started toward it. The doe flagged and ran away.
Then he hurried through the trees and dried grass.
When he came into the clear I realized he was on a course to a lone doe and I got their pictures.
The doe, however, didn’t want him around and quickly vacated the area via the woods to the east.
The buck stopped and then changed directions and soon disappeared into the woods to the North.
