Arrive today, Sunday @ (12-2-12) around 4:00 PM CST for the Mathews Retailer Show, and the Chula Vista Resort in Wisc. Dells, WI. check in desk was full of dealers trying to get checked in for the three (3) day show. I finally got checked in and went over to the Dome where the show will be held! It was awesome, well laid out and more booths than any year in the past.
This is the fifth (5th) year of the Mathews Dealer Show, this is where Mathews Dealers can and do come to make some of the best buys and the first to see all of the new products on the market in “Lost Camo” and Especially the New Mathews Bows. I did not really get to see and shoot the new bows but I will tomorrow (12-3-12) Monday. Hey I also got to see one of my past Dealers Vicki Maler at Vic’s Archery from St. Joe Mo. and it was great to visit for a few moments and visited with Bill Gartland Sr. for a while almost like old home week.
Will have more tomorrow night on all of the new products I was able to see and who we was able to visit with.
Day One
MONDAY AT MATHEWS RETAILERS SHOW:
The day started as any other first morning of any Archery Show meet and greet with old fiends and meeting new friends! I ran into a true American hero Brandon Archer, a helicopter pilot who has flown many missions! Brandon, is an avid bowhunter and one of my heroes. What a truly great start of the day to be able to sit and visit with Brandon plus he was able to take a couple of really great bucks out of central Texas. Then I ran into Richard Dorrah from Hayti, Mo. a good friend and a great hunter, of course we visited about how the Bootheel of Missouri has changed! 20 years ago there was no Whitetail Deer in that area and now there is some monsters running around in the area. also got to visit with long time friend Roger Millestien from Fin & Feater Sporting Goods in Iowa City,Ia. Roger, it was great to see and visit with you.
Was able to stop and see the folks at Elusive Wildlife Tech and spent a lot of time with Chad and Scott, folks let me tell you these folks have the best flashlights on the Market! bluntly! I’m telling you with a “Kill Light” you can actually see blood 10 to 15 yards from you, these lights are so bright you can see an ant crawling across the ground at 20 yards! NO Kidding. also stopped off and saw the following Sponsors:
- Seen Steve Wagnitz @ Lakewood Cases and let me tell you folks if you have not seen Steve’s new bowcases you owe it to yourself to go to their website: www.lakewoodproducts.com and check out the great cases and don’t forget their camera cases, absolutely awesome!

Of Course stopped and saw my old friend Matt Batemann of Grim Reaper broadheads and folks you must be shooting these broadheads, the best on the market.
We also saw the folks at ATSKO Cover scents with the best in the industry. The N-O-DOR is absolutely the best. We also saw Chris Watson of Watson Air Lock bags and as always Chris was very busy with everyone looking at his new line of products.
We stopped by the Spypoint booth and looked at the new Camera designed for Mathews “Lost Camo” and spent some great time with Todd Coppernoll of The WPM Group talking a lot about our industry.
I also want to thank my long time sponsor and friend Gamehide Clothing, they have a new Jacket and pants that is unbelievable quiet, has a ton of bells and whistles for the cold weather bowhunter. check out their website.
I did get to stop and see the new bows! Especially the Creed and the Chill:

Creed: I shot this awesome bow with the Grid Lock Riser, with Split limbs, yes I said split limbs, with the new designed Cam with a Draw check. the Creed is a very smooth shooting, ultra quite bow and no hand shock. I’m truly impressed with this bow, a mean shooting piece of equipment. I over heard a Dealer stating this bow is going to kill the competition! A strong and solid statement!

Chill: Now this is a different bow for Matt this year, a quite, smooth, no hand shock double cam bow that is very quick and comfortable to shoot. I did hear a lot of comments about this bow so be sure to go to your local Dealer and shoot the new Mathews bows. I know you will not be disappointed! Also if you go to your local Mathews Dealer after the first of Jan. you can also pick up your latest DVD of the Mathews Hunting Sponsored shows.
I’m going to sign off for tonight and will give you another report tomorrow night, also don’t forget to go to the Mathews Website and you can view all of the new 2013 bows. www.mathewsinc.com
