Synergy Outdoors, the leading manufacturer of game management products, crossbows and related outdoor products announces its purchase of the number one ground blind and treestand manufacturer in the country- Ameristep.

With Ameristep under the Synergy umbrella, the future of the brand is brighter than ever. Synergy is the leading manufacturer of high quality game management brands and is passionate about the outdoor industry. The acquisition of Ameristep® provides retailers with a one-stop shop for all their hunting accessory and outdoor product needs. Ameristep has been a leader in the ground blind category and is a key player with treestands. Ryan Busbice, Owner of Synergy Outdoors comments, “I took a personal interest in Ameristep ever since I first hunted out of a Doghouse ground blind years ago. A driving motivation in acquiring this brand is to enhance our position as the nation’s premier “Total Game Management” company.”

Synergy plans to maintain a significant presence in Michigan where the sales team and management executives will continue to manage key aspects of the company under corporate direction. Synergy will relocate general operational and other activities to their 250,000 sq. ft. distribution and operations center in Dallas. Chris Barley, EVP of Operations for Synergy states, “Synergy’s pattern of purchasing major brands in the industry aligns with our strategic growth objectives of adding brands that are in a leadership position within each of their respective categories. It is our focus to keep brands true to their core and we never want to take anything away from a brand that makes them special. Additionally, it is our desire to keep the key personnel that have been responsible for making and maintaining the Ameristep® personality. We are excited about this new marriage, and look forward to taking the Ameristep® brand beyond expectations in the market.” Bob Ransom, General Manager of Ameristep, adds, “Being a part of the Synergy family is fantastic! Synergy and Ameristep are a tremendous fit. We can’t wait to see what the future holds. We are thrilled to join forces with the Synergy team and look forward to executing our long term initiatives together!”

Synergy’s brands represent a large cross section of the outdoor world. Wildgame Innovations™ supplements & attractants, game scouting cameras and wildlife feeders, Evolved Habitats™ minerals & attractants, Evolved Harvest™ food plot seeds, Barnett Outdoors, Flextone® manual and electronic game calls, GroundEFX™ metal detectors, HALO™ range finders and niche optics and now Ameristep® ground blinds and tree stands, all complete the portfolio of the current Synergy Outdoors brands.
