During show season every year I am always looking for new products that will have an impact on hunting equipment, clothing and taxidermy. This year I saw several new items but one really stood out.

I met Robert Shaw CEO of Skull Hooker www.skullhooker.com. Skull Hooker was introduced at the Shot Show in 2010 and is now carried by Cabela’s, The Sportsman’s Guide, Midway USA and many others.

The Skull Hooker is the answer to hanging your European skull mounts with out drilling or causing any damage to your skull. The Little Hooker will fit mounts such as bear, deer, cougar, impala, alligator, wild hogs, etc . The Big Hooker will fit elk, moose, caribou, kudu, buffalo and other large animals. You can also get the extra large at no extra charge that will fit water buffalo, cape buffalo and larger moose and bison. The Skull Hooker is powder coated and comes in either robust brown or graphite black and the craftsman ship is beautiful.

The Skull Hooker comes in two colors, Robust Brown and Graphite Black. Little Hooker pictured.

The Skull Hooker is fully adjustable with an arm that swings from side to side to show off your European mounts and make the most of your wall space. It also has an up and down adjustment so you can hang your mount at the best level to show off the antlers or the skull.

I have several skulls that were just lying on the table in our trophy room. It did nothing for them but once mounted on the Skull Hooker they have a very finished and elegant appearance. The Skull Hooker is very easy to assemble and so easy to mount. The patent pending prong system slides securely into the natural hole at the base of the skull, it simply slides on, yes it’s that easy. They have complete mounting instructions on their webstie that will walk you through the installation process.

The Skull Hooker can be moved from left to right and up and down to show off your European mounts. Shown is a bear skull mounted beside Jim’s Maine Black Bear

I have never had a European skull mounted on a plaque as I always thought it took away from the mount but the Skull Hooker gives the mounts a professional, expensive look. The price is spot on as well, the Little Hooker retails for $34.99 and the Big Hooker is $59.99. Very affordable I think for anyone’s budget. The Skull Hooker comes complete with the Wall Plaque, 2’ mounting screws, mounting arm, adjustable prong with 2 screws and nuts.

With the price point, craftsmanship, professional look and elegant beauty I give this product a thumbs up.

I would like to thank Mr. Shaw for his time at the ATA Show and giving me the opportunity to share this great product with you. If you are looking for a great addition to your trophy room The Skull Hooker may be your solution to show case your European mounts. Plus they make great gifts. For more go to: www.skullhooker.com
