Sue Burch, a.k.a. SusieQ

  Ingredients:
1 pound ground Venison
1 packet taco seasoning
3 flour tortillas (I used medium and mine were 8″)
1/2 cup Salsa Con Queso
2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend

Directions:
Brown venison and drain grease if necessary.

Ground Venison just starting to brown…

Add taco seasoning and water according to directions on back.  (I always get low sodium taco mix but it doesn’t matter what kind you use).

Venison browned, grease drained, water and taco seasoning added.

When your venison taco meat has simmered then turn off heat. Next you will add 1/2 cup salsa con queso and mix well.

Turned off stove and added Salsa Con Queso. (I realized when it was done I should have cooked more of the water out of the venison taco meat).
Our Venison taco mix is ready.

Preheat your oven to 350°.
Spray your baking pan with a nonstick cooking spray like Pam or any other kind.
Layer the bottom of the pan with your first flour tortilla.

Here, we have sprayed our pan and layered our first flour tortilla.

I divided the venison taco mix into thirds just by guessing… then I put the first section on the first flour tortilla..

On our first tortilla, we add our third of venison taco mix.

Then added  the first layer of the shredded mexican cheese. (Unless you are going to measure it into three containers to make it even this is just guessing too).

Still working on our first layer, we add our third of mexican cheese.

Now you will do the second layer, with another tortilla, more venison taco mix, more mexican cheese. Finally, your third layer is the same.

Keep working until you have all three layers done and ready for oven.

Bake at 350° for about 15 to 20 minutes depending on your stove.

Ummmm, doesn’t this look good! Right out of oven.

Allow to cool for several minutes then slice and serve.

It is easy to take the ring off and slice up. You can use any pan that has sides to it. I saw this trick on Pinterest and thought why not use it… it is such a great idea.

The Venison Taco Bake was so good and easy to make, the first time I cooked it we had a side salad with it.  This time was Super Bowl night and I hate to say we didn’t have salad.  I am sure your family will enjoy it as much as my family did.

Another delicious venison recipe from SusieQ. Enjoy.
