Equipped with 46 black infrared LEDs, this camera along with the Tiny-W 2 and introducing the new Tiny-Ws that will include sound recording are my two favorite cameras from SpyPoint.
Providing great illumination at night and undetectable at night make this camera ideal for any type of security situations. Even close up the BF-8 undetectable. All pics and video quality are at 8 megapixels the videos captured by the BF-8 are in color by day and black and white by night. Equipped with an ultra-sensitive microphone, which is located at its base, lets you record sound automatically when recording video.
For what few no glow cameras are out there on the market and for under $200.00 I say this is the most bang for the buck. Taunting a trigger time of 1.2 seconds and a 10 second recovery time, that is very consistent.
One of the best features I found with this camera and I do with all SpyPoint Cameras is the ease of use. The BF-8 is very quick & simple to setup, with a custom program or utilize the switches for a pre-programming. The BF-8 has a solid 50 ft. range with adjustable distance detection sensor (5 to 50 ft.), average PIR range and auto infrared level adjustment.
What I found to stand out above other cameras I have tested is the quality of the BF-8’s night photos. Normally with these newer type cameras pushing higher and higher pixel quality is a downward climb in night photo quality but, not with the BF-8. The compact size of makes it easy to tote into the woods or hang inconspicuously for security reasons.
Listed below are other features that don’t need any explanation they are cut and dry features.
- Video recording from 10 to 90 sec. (640×480)
- Multi-shot mode up to 4 pictures per detection
- Date, time, moon phase and temperature stamp on pictures

Here is a brief note on battery usage; SpyPoint does not recommend using Nimh rechargeable batteries in any of their cameras. It is best if you use lithium batteries or alkaline and as always you can use the SpyPoint 12 volt kit on any of the product line of SpyPoint cameras. So, if you are looking to upgrade or purchase a camera for the next hunting season or just security around the house or farm then check out SpyPoint to check out for yourself their quality line of cameras to fit any need or situation. for the complete line please go to: Spypoint
