Many crossbows are designed and marketed for the youth shooter, but few fill the gap between the youth and adult hunter. The Barnett Recruit not only fits the smaller-framed hunter, but it offers enough adjustment to grow with that hunter.

The adjustable cheek piece and butt stock allows the shooter to keep the bow as he or she grows, while easily making needed adjustments.

Ideal for youth and small women, the compact Recruit is easy to handle, but it still provides plenty of speed and power for the hunt. At 300 fps, 140 lb draw and 80 ft lbs of KE, the Recruit can take down the game animal of choice.

With safety as a priority, the Recruit features the same 5-1 safety system and trigger system as other premium Barnett bows.

Barnett’s high-energy cam system and CROSSWIRE string and cable system contribute to a faster, quieter, more precise shot. The CROSSWIRE string and cable system blends Barnett’s fibers with the industry’s toughest serving materials, ensuring the shooter has the most stable and reliable string in the industry. The ADF (Anti-Dry-Fire) trigger system eliminates unintentional and costly dry fires. The system also boasts a 3.5-pound trigger pull and a revolutionary crank attachment built into the stock, allowing for the easy installation of the optional crank-cocking device. Thanks to the crank-cocking device, the shooter will never need someone else to cock the bow for him or her.

At a price of $299, the Recruit makes the perfect crossbow for the beginning hunter.
