Review: Bowfile Bow Case from Lakewood Products

Located in Suamico, Wisconsin, Lakewood™ Products is a full line manufacturer of cases and tackle boxes that are all made in the U.S.A. and designed “For the sportsman, by the sportsman.” As quoted on their website.

Each case has what they call a soft/hard design, which means a soft water repellent, durable denier material on the outside and a high strength ABS on the inside.

Made with a drop in design meaning, unzip the top and drop your bow inside even with the quiver on. No big lids to deal with and you don’t need a whole table top to open your case. The design allows for storage of parallel limb bows and sturdy enough I was able to stand on it. The denier material is available in True Timber, Black, Pink True Timber Camo and also you must specify if it is for a left or right handed bow.

One of the best features I thought this Bowfile offered was the arrow and accessory cases that fit nicely inside with your bow and can also be used with or without the case. These cases are also made from the same durable denier material and high impact ABS plastic like the bow case. I especially liked being able to take my bow out when arriving at our turkey hunting destination and then just grabbing the accessory case keeping my items I may need in.

The C255 Arrow Travel Case measures L: 34″ x D: 8″ x H: 2.75″ and holds up to 36 or 3 dozen arrows.
Last but not least is the C215 Archery Accessory Case that measures L: 14″ x W: 5.37″ x D: 2.37″ and has four sectioned areas to organize your stuff.

The C-275 case that I reviewed measures L: 41″ x W: 7″ x D: 15″ on the outside and L: 40.75″ x W: 3.5″ x D: 14.25″ for bow storage inside. Even with the two cases and your bow inside, there is still room to throw some hunting clothes or gear inside the case.

All cases have a zippered top and are designed to float even with your items in them. This is a very unique design and you may never need to worry about a case floating but if it happens you’re in luck.

In looking on their website, and from what I have seen and learned from the case I tested, their prices are really quite affordable and reasonable for such a high quality product. Their line also includes guns, ammo, tackle, musky and ice fishing cases. If you are in the market for a lightweight, durable and airline quality case then check out Lakewood Products at www.LakewoodProducts.com or see the selection on Amazon below.
