I’m back on track with the 2013 deerhunt. My bud Robbie Cramer is down and we’re gonna hunt for a few days. Right now, in the deer woods, according to my SpyPoint game cameras as well as deer sightings, some of the bucks buddy groups are splitting up. I’ve even seen a few solo does. So deer activity is about to change.
This morning it’s 4:020am and I’m getting pop tarted and coffeed up. Robbie is still asleep down the hall and it sounds like a freight trail is going through his room.
I went to the H2O Secret blind. Waiting for some light. Come on Number 9.
Just before 7:00 I saw 3 does come to the water seep to drink. One of them was very frisky, running and zig zagging around, over and over. Meanwhile 2 bucks walked to the edge of the trees 100 yards away. They watched a short while and came over to the seep area. The does saw them and ran into the nearby woods to my right. I glassed them.
The bucks were a young 9 and a not young 10, traveling together. When I glassed them I saw that the 10 is the Stuck Up Buck (with some nice stickers). Both bucks came toward the water seep and chased the does around.

The 9-point followed the does out of sight but the Stuck Up buck gave it up and came back to drink some water. I could’ve taken a 16 yard broadside shot. But didn’t.

Later, when I went back to the house I got the SD card from my camera in this area and saw that the Number 9 buck was still in this area. Oh yea, I love deerhunting with my bow (and camera too).
