Standing 58” high and 45” long and simulating a 200lb buck, this target if real would be any hunters dream buck. Made from Rinehart’s high quality woodland foam and signature series self-healing insert this buck is a blast to shoot at and keep shooting because it will take an awful lot of shooting to wear this target out.
The target is another high quality target from Rinehart and is a blast to shoot with my compound bow. The self-healing signature series insert will withstand shots from a crossbow as well. You will find it an ease to retrieve arrows from it, unlike some targets where you have to lay the target down and stand on it to get your arrows back. This again, is due to the woodland foam and signature series long life insert. After putting several shots with only field tips in it I was unable to tell where I had shot it.

The Booner Buck is really marketed for the Booner size 10 point rack that easily mounts on top of the bucks head. The only time it came off was during a 50 mph wind gust. Other than that it stays securely in place. The base of the rack has such a large diameter it is hard to get your hand wrapped around it. Personally, the rack does not do much for me on any deer target. I concentrate on shot placement. Although the target simulates a 200 pound buck, the target is only 35lbs and is easy to assemble. Moving the target is not an issue and you will need supply your own stand which is not included with the target.
In closing, I have found the Booner Buck to be pleasant to shoot at and was impressed with the quality of not only the insert but the overall target. No matter where you put your arrow they are easy to pull. At $299.99 the cost is high compared to a lot of targets but if you have to keep buying cheap inserts and targets this may pay for itself in 3 or 4 years. I found the replacement insert for $70. If you like big racks on your deer targets you will fall in love with this one because no other target comes close. For more please go to: www.Rinehart.com
