Speed without Compromise; “Shootability” without Sacrifice

elite

Smart sportsmen know the value of “versatile” gear that allows exceptional performance in wide-ranging conditions, a great example being ELITE’s new speedy-yet-forgiving Impulse 34.

As one of ELITE’s “next-generation” bows, the Impulse 34 is one of few models that can literally do it all, whether the goal is top-level competition or a trusted companion on the hunt of a lifetime, shooting spots or dots or weekend 3-D tournament -the Impulse 34 stands rock-solid and ready, delivering steady, flat-shooting accuracy at speeds up to 340 fps.

No matter if you’re prepping for a fall filled with roaming the wide-open west for elk, mule deer, and pronghorns or peak-of-the-rut Midwest treestanding it’s easy to lean on the extra-stable platform of the Impulse 34 to deliver at crunch time. The new open-geometry 6061 T6 aluminum riser is designed to distribute load over a greater surface area and improve torsional rigidity for more accurate shooting at all distances.

“For several years we have been challenged to build a faster bow that still maintained the smooth-drawing stability and shootability archers expect from ELITE,” said Eric Griggs, ELITE Archery president. “We took all the positive things from our best bows and merged them into the 2016 Impulse 34. The addition of a stiffer riser and a new pocket system, combined with our new cams generate speed, stability, accuracy and shootability into one great-looking package that’s perfectly designed for anyone looking to up their archery game.”

The Impulse 34 features the proven benefits of ELITE’s exclusive Riser Cageâ„¢ design that not only reduces torque at full draw but also results in a riser that’s up to 30-percent stiffer than comparable riser concepts. When combined with the new Perfect Alignment Limb System limb pocket, the Impulse 34 delivers an exceptionally balanced and forgiving shot. The new P.A.L.S pocket system increases limb alignment by holding the limb in place with two tabs that directly translate downward limb pressure into balanced horizontal limb alignment. This results in extremely tight stack tolerances to provide consistent riser, cam and limb alignment, eliminating accuracy-robbing inconsistencies generated from the lack of alignment of one component with the next.

Completing the Impulse 34 package are premium Winner’s Choice strings and cables constructed with industry-leading, BCY-X material, which tie together the power-packed Impulse 2-track cam system. The cams, modules, cable rods and limb pockets are coated in

ELITE’s ultra-matte and ultra-durable PRO KOTEâ„¢ finish to perfectly complement the durable bow finishes that include Realtree® Xtra®, Realtree® Max 1®, Realtree® AP® Snow, Ninja Black and new for 2016 KUIU® Vias and KUIU® Verde camouflage patterns. The Impulse 34 is also available in new-for-2016 matte-finish target colors (Titanium, Pink, Purple, Red, Orange, Blue and Green) with all decorations now available with an ELITE target grip option.

Not entirely happy about having to use a firearm rather than his bow, the author was all smiles at the result.
