Youth Day At Cabelas In Fort Worth

What an awesome time!  Today, I represented BowTech and Diamond Archery at Cabela’s here in Fort Worth, Texas.  It was Cabela’s Youth Day and believe me, the youth showed up in full force!  There were over 600 kids in attendance!

Cabelas had fishing, a petting zoo, face painting and a many activities for the youth and kids to experience.   Many of these kids are from the city and do not  have access to most the activities that Cabelas provided.

Most importantly, there was archery and I was in charge of that activity.  Most of the youth were under ten years of age and this was the first time most of them experienced the flight of the arrow.

We provided light pulling bows, the tips of the arrows had a foam cushion for the point.  The kids shot at targets and to say they enjoyed it would be an understatement.  Some of the smaller kids could not pull back the bowstring, so I had them hold the bow handle in their left hand while I pulled the string back to full draw.

Then I told them, “now focus on the target and watch the flight of the arrow.” They loved it!  There were smiling kids all over the place.

I would like to thanks Tracy Doty of Cabela’s for letting me and BowTech be there to help in this event!!  Today was an awesome day that Cabelas provided for these kids. Smiles were in abundance.

I would also like to take a quick moment to thank my sponsors who always support me. Thanks to BowTech Archery, Black Eagle Arrows, Grim Reaper Broadheads, and a special thanks to Cabelas.  Without you guys, none of this would be possible.
