EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT!  I feel like standing on the local street corner with a bull horn to get the word out on these great new boots.  Danner has done it once again! The new Danner Mountain 600 hiking boots are phenomenal.

A box arrived in the mail from Danner and Jim ask me if I had ordered insoles. I told him no, that I had ordered a pair of the new Mountain 600. His comment was “there is no way that is a pair of boots, the box doesn’t weigh anything”.  I picked up the box and he was right, so I opened it and it was the Mountain 600’s that I had ordered, they weigh 30oz, the men’s weigh 37 oz..  Yes hiking boots that weigh less than two pounds ladies. This new category is called “Performance Heritage” bringing together very classic styling with new lightweight construction.

I ordered mine in Hazelwood and yellow.  I love the classic styling of them and they offer a waterproof suede upper and Danner Dry waterproof protection.  They also feature a Vibram SPE midsole and Fuga outsole which gives them ultimate grip on both wet and dry surfaces.

I could not wait to try them on and see how much break-in-time they would need before I would be climbing mountains and training retrievers in them.  I slipped them on and seriously I thought I had stepped into a piece of heaven.  They are extremely nimble and the Ortholite footbed gives you perfect comfort.  Put them on and go, no break-in-time required, no extra pair of boots in the car.  They are that comfortable right out of the box.  They are offered in both men’s and women’s sizes and come in several different colors – available at Amazon or danner.com

If you are looking for a great pair of hiking boots that will perform in the field or in the urban jungle look no farther than the Mountain 600. They will take you where you want to go.

Check out Danner products at Amazon for pricing, more reviews, and additional information.
