Cooking With SusieQ: Low Carb Ground Venison and Pepperoni Pizza

A slice of ground venison pizza for me with extra cheese. It's good and did satisfy my pizza craving. I can continue my low carb lifestyle without eating something I am not suppose to have. Enjoy!

Blade's EZ Style Venison Jerky

Ground Venison and Pepperoni Pizza (Low Carb)

Crust:

  • 1 (8oz) package cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasonings (optional)

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • garlic powder
  • toppings of your choice: ground venison, pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, mushrooms

Preheat oven to 350°

Spray 9×13 pan with cooking spray. Mix cream cheese, eggs, pepper, garlic powder and parmesan cheese until mixed well.  Spread out with a spatula into your pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown.  Crust will need to cool for ten minutes.

After cooling for ten minutes, you are ready to add toppings.  First spread out your 1/2 cup pizza sauce onto the crust and then add toppings of your choice finishing with mozzarella cheese.  Bake for 10 to 15 or until your cheese is melted.

After mixing cream cheese, eggs, pepper, garlic powder and grated parmesan cheese well, then spread out in a 9×13 pan. I used a 10×18 and my crust came out really thin. I also tried shredded parmesan cheese instead of grated it was a mistake.

While my crust was cooking I browned my ground venison seasoning with garlic salt steak seasoning then drained.

Crust looks great, browned and it looks pretty thick.

Spread 1/2 cup pizza sauce on crust.

I added a layer of ground venison not using all of it, approximately 3/4 pound. Next I added a layer of pepperoni for rest of family.

Now a nice layer of mozzarella cheese and ready to put in oven.

To get the right melting of the mozzarella cheese I put my oven on broil for it to finishing melting and start browning.

A slice of ground venison pizza for me with extra cheese. It’s good and did satisfy my pizza craving. I can continue my low carb lifestyle without eating something I am not supposed to have. Enjoy!
