There are so many chairs on the market claiming to be a camp chair. What is a camp chair and what makes up a good camp chair?       I have had the pleasure of reviewing the Alps Outdoorz Camp Chair and I feel it makes for a great camp chair because it is lightweight (10.5 lbs.), collapsible, durable and functional.

The powder coated aluminum frame is strong, rust proof and most of all light weight making it easy to add to your camping supplies. The detachable back frame and foldable seat make it easy to store on you camper or in your car for a day on the beach or a vacation getaway. I am a 240 lb. guy and the chair held up to me plopping in it several times and moving around I did not feel like the chair was wobbling. The roominess made it nice to throw my legs over the side and the moveable cup holder securely held my drink. The mesh back and bottom kept me cool on hot days and I didn’t have a wet spot on my back from sweating. The tall back made it comfortable to sit in and the tight seat kept me from sagging in the seat as well even after several uses. Retail cost for the Realtree Xtra camo chair is $89.99 and has a lifetime warranty on fabric and frame.

Specs for the chair are:

Seat Dimensions: 24″ wide x 22″ deep x 36″ high
Total Weight: 10.5 lbs.
Capacity: 425 lbs.
Seat Height Front/Back: 17″
Back Height: 36″
Total Width Back/Arms: 24″ B/A

Seat Width: 19″
Seat Depth: 18″
Seat Width: 19″
Seat Depth: 22″

Overall, I found the chair a great camping chair. It allowed me to be comfortable, have a place for my beverage and was easily folded up and stowed away for the next campsite.
