We started out the year on January 3rd in San Francisco, CA at the Fred Hall show at the historic Cow Palace. I had a great time at this show, Eric did a super job as my assistant and three of the five TV stations in San Francisco covered my show. In February we took our show to Derby City (Louisville, Ky) to the stage of the Jim Strader Expo. Jim Strader is a well known figure in the outdoor world and he does so much to promote and pass on our outdoor heritage. I'd like to thank Jim for the opportunity to visit the stage at his event.

In March it was on to the stage of the Iowa Deer Classic, a famous show in the midwest. I met artist P. Buckley Moss while traveling to this event. The Iowa Deer Classic is held in Des Moines, Iowa. They do a super job with this event.
Next we headed for the south to do a private show for country singer Toby Keith in Columbia, SC. After the show I presented Toby with a new bow made for him by the folks at Sky/Mathews. This was a great time and I'd like to thank my assistant Sam Hughart, David Milam-- Toby's road manager, Jason with VIP Protection, and the rest of the TK crew!

Next stop was San Diego, CA for the Fred Hall show at the Del Mar race track , "where the surf meets the turf". I enjoyed working with Bart Hall & company and was proud to be the first archer featured at their event since the late Howard Hill.
In July I met some great folks at the Central Florida Big Buck Expo, sponsored by promoter Jay Evertt. This was a fun event and we had good crowds at every show. I'm looking forward to joining Jay & company for three shows in 2007! They have a great website, which also features a show guide directory. Check out their site at: www.southerntrophyhunters.org/
Next it was on to Robbinsville, New Jersey in August for an appearance at Harry's Army & Navy store's fall show. Chuck Adams was also at this event, it was good to see "Woodrow." I appreciate the folks at Harry's for having me!
Next stop was Casper, Wyoming for the Wyoming Expo. I got to visit with Patty Stevens, Dave Lockman, Sean Duffy & his mother and meet some new friends. These Expos are a great way to promote hunting and fishing to the next generation! I met some great folks at this event! Some footage of this event was taped for an outdoor show in 2007.
Next I traveled to St. Louis, Missouri for appearances at the West Brother's Chrysler Fall event. We did three shows at their event and one LIVE media appearance in the FOX news studio at the St. Louis FOX station. I enjoyed meeting the family and doing these shows. They also own a Ford dealership so if you are traveling near St. Louis be sure and look them up!
By far the greatest event I attended in 2006 or anytime in my life was the birth of our baby boy in August! Amanda gave birth to Franklin Augustus Addington aka "Gus" on August 21, 2006. He's a real blessing! I changed his first diaper and have continued to change my share since that time too! I slowed the pace to about half of my normal travel for 2006 so that I could be with Amanda during the later part of her pregnancy and then be home with her after Gus arrived. I don't regret that for one minute--- it's been a great year!
Soon I'll be back on the road, 2007 will be a busy year! We'll be bringing bow & arrow razzle dazzle across the country again in 2007--- from California to Florida and lots of places in between! Be sure and watch for our "Have Bow--Will Travel" tour! ALSO---We are now booking 2008 and 2009 shows!
Amanda, Gus and I would like to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for reading and for the promoters who booked my show in 2006. We want to wish you & your a Merry Christmas and warmest wishes for 2007!
