I’m thrilled to share that time, and Mother Nature has truly been my ally since I broke ground with my Kunz Engineering Chisel Plow just two weeks ago! The rain we’ve experienced has been wonderful—exactly what I hoped for when planting the Domain Mother Load and Incognito varieties in my plots. After sowing the seeds, I gave them a nourishing boost with liquid fertilizer from Soil Pro Outdoors, and now I’m eagerly awaiting the moment those seeds pop through the soil.
One Week Update
Creating food plots is an exciting journey filled with important decisions! One of my favorite choices was opting not to cultipack the soil. Instead, I used the Kunz Chisel Plow, which really helped to break up the hardpan soil and prevent compaction, fostering a healthier environment for growth. After planting my seeds, gentle rain blessed the area for several days, and I eagerly anticipated their germination. When I visited my property to check on their progress, I was thrilled to see how quickly everything had sprouted. The lively early growth filled me with joy and renewed excitement for the season ahead!
Two Weeks and Counting
In the second week, we were thrilled to experience a generous amount of rain! It worked wonders for the Domain Mother Load and Incognito plots. The heavy rainfall was absorbed wonderfully, all thanks to the deep penetration and aeration provided by the Kunz Chisel Plow. For the first time, I noticed that there were no puddles in my plots. What a fantastic sign of improvement!
The Mother Load seeds are thriving and have already reached over six inches tall, growing quickly and vigorously! I spaced them out thoughtfully to give each plant plenty of room to flourish without competing. I’m excited to see the different bean varieties starting to emerge in the mix—it’s truly impressive! Can’t wait to see how they continue to develop!
A key element for my plots is effective screening, and after exploring several options, I’m thrilled to have chosen Incognito! The seeds are flourishing beautifully, and you can really see their vitality in the video as they bask in the sunlight. It’s important that the screening is dense enough to keep deer from peeking into my plots from the woods. I have complete faith in Incognito, and it’s already exceeding my expectations—everything looks fantastic!
