Scot Evans is a well-known archery content creator across all social media platforms. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the 2026 ATA show, where we talked about his store, Feathers and Antlers Outdoors, and his passion for archery. Scot took the time to answer my questions and expressed his gratitude for stopping to introduce myself.
If you’re not familiar with Scot and his online presence, I highly recommend checking him out and following him. He has a fantastic sense of humor and possesses a wealth of knowledge about archery. You can find him on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok under his name or as BowBoy.
Scot is doing amazing things to attract new members to the archery community, promote current trends, highlight shooting events, and challenge experienced archers. He is steering archery in a positive direction, and people are taking notice.
Breaking Arrows! Who has the Toughest Carbon?
Scot recently released a video on his YouTube channel that I found to be interesting, entertaining, and educational. As a huge supporter of Black Eagle Arrows, I was pleased to see him demonstrate what I already know: they are the best! In this video, he puts three popular arrow brands through a flex test to determine which has the toughest carbon. Make sure to watch it!
Results
Victory HLR 300 Spine
Arrow Grains Per Inch: 8.1
The Victory HLR flexed to almost 27 inches in the bow press before breaking into multiple pieces.
Catastrophic Failure!
Easton 5.0 340 Spine
Arrow Grains Pre Inch: 7.5
The Easton 5.0 snapped into pieces at 30 inches in the bow press.
Catastrophic Failure!
Black Eagle Rampage 300 Spine
Arrow Grains Per Inch: 8.7
The Black Eagle Rampage never snapped and was at almost 26 inches in the bow press. Spun nicely on the arrow spinner after being super flexed!
Clear overall winner for toughest carbon!
