Do you plant food plots? Do you use fertilizer? Whether they’re large or small, success depends on giving your plants the nourishment they need. Thanks to Callie Grubbs, my food plots are flourishing and look fantastic this year! The secret behind their success? Using liquid fertilizers that enrich the soil and support vibrant, healthy plants. I’m excited about the progress and can’t wait to see them keep thriving!

Liquid Fertilizer Sprayer
The Hooyman 4 Gallon 24v sprayer works great!
Great Equipment
I have four plots on my property that total one acre. Before planting, I like to use my 15-gallon sprayer, which works well for applying fertilizer to the soil. Once the plots are planted, I switch to the Hooyman 4-Gallon 24V sprayer. This sprayer is easy to fill, comes with a variety of nozzle attachments, and features a comfortable backpack design. The long-lasting lithium battery makes the Hooyman sprayer a breeze for fertilizing my plots.

2.5 Gallon SP-Boost
Plants Love SP-Boost!
Give Them a Boost
I can’t recommend SP-Boost from Soil Pro Outdoors enough! My food plots are nestled in the woods, and soil tests showed I needed to boost my potassium and phosphorus levels. After starting with SP-Boost last year, I’m thrilled to continue using it this season. I applied it in the spring and just reapplied it to ensure my soil has the nutrients my food plot seeds need to flourish. Treat your soil right with SP-Boost—you’ll love the results!

SP-Force
Use the Force!
Use the Force
Hardpan soil was an issue with my plots, but it isn’t anymore. Using the Kunz Chisel Plow to break up my soil and applying SP-Force helped tremendously. The benefits of SP-Force are many:
  • Adds texture to light, sandy soils
  • Loosens compacted, tight soils
  • Provides food, aka carbon, to feed microbial communities
  • Improves water-holding capacity of soil
  • Improves nutrient retention of soils so nutrients aren’t lost
  • Stabilizes nutrient levels throughout the year
  • Boosts soil pH in acid soils
  • Fights heat and moisture stress for growing plants
  • Stimulates larger root mass
  • Builds plant biomass
I encourage you to add SP-Force anytime you spray your soil or plots. It helps your soils every time you apply it.

Freight Train
Come on, ride that train!
Domain Freight Train Fertilizer
I love using Freight Train 25-0-0+ liquid fertilizer by Domain Outdoor; it is perfect for food plots to boost fertility, elevate crop performance, and create a thriving property plan!
This product works wonders for boosting nitrogen in brassicas, grains, corn, and vibrant food plots! Pair it with soil-test insights to ensure pH, phosphorus, potassium, nitrogen, calcium, and soil-health recommendations align with your unique ground for flourishing results!

Mix It All
One fantastic advantage of liquid fertilizers is that you can mix them for easy application! I measured each product carefully, blended it with water in my trusty 4-gallon sprayer, and quickly treated my plots. This straightforward process has revolutionized the way I nourish my plants, making it both efficient and enjoyable. It’s amazing to see the difference this method has made in my food plots!
