Morrell’s Hot New Center Punch V36 Target-
  • Facebook

Taylor Swift is a vibrant, successful woman, but only Morrell’s new Center Punch V36 target is hot enough to make the cover of Archery Business Magazine, and for good reason.  Today’s compounds and crossbows are faster than ever, and arrows and broadheads continue to climb in price.  If you shoot a fast bow, a quality target like the Morrell V36 will pay for itself in saved equipment.

Two Targets in One

The heart of the V36 is the popular Morrell High Roller, a red foam cube target with white dots similar to those found on dice.  This six-sided target allows aiming dots from 1 to 6 by simply rotating it and is ideal for broadheads or target points.  The center High Roller is rated at 450 fps, and the surrounding foam at 350 fps.  I remember shooting the first 500 fps crossbow and nailing the target’s aluminum frame because my sighting target was so small.  That broken arrow is still in the frame as a reminder to use a larger target. The size of the V36 allows room for error and experimentation without losing gear.

Key Features

Aside from the large, error-forgiving size of the Morrell V36, its 27-pound weight makes it heavy enough to resist tipping over, which can ruin arrows, yet light enough to be transportable.  Shooting in the backyard is convenient for building muscle memory, yet taking the target to your hunting camp is much more fun and will challenge your nerves and shooting skills as you have to perform in front of your friends.  Every hunting camp should have a target like this anyway, so why not buy one from the club funds?

Universally Compatible-

The V36 handles outserts, inserts, and half-outs with ease.  It stops field points, mechanical broadheads, and fixed blade braodheads, and features easy arrow removal with self-healing material.  I’ve learned that I can shoot quality mechanical broadheads like Grim Reaper, Rage, and Sevr repeatedly thanks to the foam’s forgiveness.  When I pull the arrow out, the mechanical returns to its factory setting.  I don’t hunt with these heads, but this practice ensures the broadhead arrow is spot-on.

Roll The Dice

My original High Roller is about five years old, and my grandson practices daily in our backyard.  As you can see, he has this center dot dialed in, so it’s time to turn the target or aim at another spot.  The red foam in the center of the Center Punch V36 is the same 13-inch High Roller as the stand-alone cube.  If you wear one out, you can replace it and still retain the large V36 stopping power.  For more information about the Center Punch V36, visit www.MorrellTargets.com
